Outdoor Camping Direct Festival Pack competition: we have a winner!
Phew, it’s been a busy week here at CannySites.com HQ!
Happily we’ve now had time to catch our breath, read through and digest all 130+ of your excellent entries to our Outdoor Camping Direct competition, and – a bit later than we’d have liked (sorry!) – select and announce our winner.
We asked you to complete the sentence “The essential item in my @campingdirectuk Festival Pack would be…”, and you gave us some brilliantly creative entries across Twitter, Facebook and the website, as well as plenty of handy practical tips.
The biggest thing we’ve learnt, though – which many of you shouted loud and clear – is just how important (and suitable for a multitude of uses) wet wipes are. We might have to pop a pack of them in with the Festival Pack prize from Outdoor Camping Direct, just to make sure our winner is fully equipped next time they head off festivalwards.
Some of you even illustrated your entries, including this fantastic one featuring our @HTDHolidayTips Twitter handle – very impressive work! In the end, however, we had to remember what it was we’d asked you to do, which was to complete the sentence in a way that would inform, entertain, or just make us laugh.
And, on that score, the entry that we loved most of all – and hence our winner! – was the one from Sandra Lane (@chiprocky on Twitter), where she tweeted that her essential item would be “A luxury tent containing Tom Hardy, a Fortnum & Mason hamper and a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign. If only.” Who, honestly, can argue with that attractive combination?
